Issues We Treat | Obsessive Compulsive

Obsessive Compulsive

Recurrent thoughts and worries followed by obsessive behaviors are exhausting and can interfere with life in so many ways.  Feeling the need to constantly wash your hands, clean a certain space, or repeatedly check on things takes away any sense of control and freedom.  First and foremost, our goal in therapy for OCD is to help you see less interference in your daily life and activities because of your obsessions and compulsive or ritualistic behaviors.  Behavioral patterns are often a result of key life conflicts and stressors, so we will target those as points of focus in treatment.  We will also work through the thoughts, beliefs, and past life experiences that have caused you to develop these habits to help you function better in the future.
