If you are engaging in behaviors of self-harm, we want you to know that your life is precious and that it will get better.  Also, if you are a parent of a child with suicidal thoughts or behaviors, we know that almost nothing can be more frightening.  Ethos counselors are experienced in meeting you in moments of crisis to help you find emotional and physical stability.  We will help alleviate any kind of suicidal impulse or ideation so that you can return to a normal level of functioning.  We will promptly coordinate care with hospitals, psychiatrists, or medical providers so that you can get the appropriate type of care for whatever stage you are at in your journey.  Counseling will help you learn skills to cope with feelings of hopelessness so that you can regain a sense of optimism for the future.  We will help you to emotionally reinvest in life and to see the light at the end of the tunnel, particularly by focusing on activities and relationships that bring you happiness and peace of mind.
